Former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (23-1, 13KOs) is currently training for his September 8th showdown against IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey (43-7, 37KOs).  The fight was originally scheduled to take place in Memphis, TN and then was moved to San Antonio, Texas. A scheduling conflict at the AT&T Center may result in another venue change even thought the fight is only four weeks away.

Regardless of where the fight takes place, Team Alexander is fully focused on defeating the hard hitting Bailey.

"Devon is going to destroy Bailey," Alexander's manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

Cunningham made it clear that they are 100% focused on Bailey but looking ahead he sees a mega-fight in his fighter's future.

"Team Alexander is fully focused on beating Bailey. After that we would love to unify titles with Floyd [Mayweather] and we would also consider moving up to fight Canelo [Alvarez] in December."

Alvarez has December 8th reserved for his next fight after his September 15th fight against Josesito Lopez.
