Junior welterweight Jose Zepeda and welterweight Alex Saucedo will fight in separate eight rounds bouts on January 17, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com on Saturday night.
Both bouts will be part of a Top Rank card that will take place in the Los Angeles-area.
UniMas will air the "Solo Boxeo Tecate" broadcast.
Zepeda (21-0, 18 KOs) scored his most-impressive win to date in his last fight on November 8, when he knocked out former world title challenger Victor Cayo in the first round. Within the last 18 months, Zepeda has wins over former fringe contenders Ricardo Dominguez and Luis Arceo and a decision win over Robert Frankel.
Zepeda resides in the Los Angeles suburb of La Puente.
Saucedo (16-0, 11 KOs) resides in Oklahoma City and made his professional debut at the age of 17 over three years ago.
In his last bout on November 29 in Omaha, Nebraska, Saucedo won a six round unanimous decision over Daniel Calzada. It was Saucedo's fifth bout of 2014.
No word yet on whom Zepeda and Saucedo will face on January 17.
