The saying goes ‘the bigger they are the harder they fall’ this was the case at the Broncos Leagues Club in Queensland, Australia when heavyweight contender Alex Leapai hit 6'9 Russian giant, Evgeny Orlov, with a flush right uppercut which knocked him out and secured the victory.
Orlov was deducted a point in round two for continually pushing Leapai’s head down. The knockout came at 1:47 of round number four.
After the fight Leapai said, “Thank you family, friends and my LIONHEART supporters for the encouragement and taking the journey with me. Step by step we will slowly get there to the top.”
Leapai raised his record to 24-3-3, 19 KOs), while Orlov fell to (13-10-1, 8 KOs).
