Alex Arthur And Willie Limond Promise Pre-Christmas Cracker
Edinburgh's Alex Arthur makes a quick return to the ring when he headlines a night of boxing at the Meadowbank Sports Centre on Friday the 3rd of December.
Arthur will defend his IBF Intercontinental title against a challenger to be named.
"I'm so happy to be fighting again just before Christmas primarily for the fans who have supported me and I will give them a real cracker of a performance, but also because it's a pay day that I need now that I have more mouths to feed at home!
"I wanted more fights this year because I had been inactive and the Odumase fight gave me the chance to brush off the cobwebs and show what improvements had been made with my new training team.
"I felt my performance against Odumase was a great improvement since the Michael Gomez fight and you got to see better head and upper-body movement that had previously been neglected.
"I'm in the gym working and improving on things every day and am still aiming to get a world title shot here in Edinburgh next year. Until then I will continue to work away and close the year with a sensational performance."
Glasgow's Willie Limond will also fight on the 3rd of December bill, making the first defence of his European Union Super Featherweight title against Frenchman Ali Oubaali.
Gary Young, unbeaten in 11 fights, and fellow capital boxer Scott Forsyth are also on the bill alongside Barry Hughes, Ricky Burns and Colin McNeil from the West of Scotland.
Tickets, priced at £25, £50 and £75, are available now from the Meadowbank Sports Centre on 0131 661 5351 or Sports Network Box Office on 01992 550 888.
