Aleksander Alekseev, who just fought and lost to IBF cruiserweight king Yoan Pablo Hernandez, takes over as promoter for EC Box Promotion, whom Aleksander signed with when he left Universum. Erol Ceylan, who started the company and has been its biggest sponsor through his energy drink enterprise Evil will now step back.
The big EC show in Hamburg December 20 will be Alekseev´s first as promoter and his days as a fighter appear to be numbered. Headlining the Hamburg show is heavyweight Christian Hammer in a defence of the WBO I/C title against Kevin Johnson.
Also set is cruiser Nuri Seferi taking on former WBA interim champ Steve Herelius and the "Diamond Boy", heavyweight Manuel Charr is negotiating with James Toney but it appears not to be a done deal just yet. Should Toney come Charr will defend all of his WBC subtitles on the show.
