Unbeaten lightweight Alejandro Luna will fight on October 19th, it was advised to Boxingscene.com earlier this week.
Luna will be on a fight card that will take place at the Sports Arena in Pico Rivera, a suburb of Los Angeles, CA.
In his last fight on August 9th in Cabazon, CA, Luna (15-0, 11 KOs) knocked out Christopher Rivera in the second round of a scheduled six round bout.
Luna has built a big following in the Whittier-area, where he resides. Aside from boxing, Luna has competed in numerous rodeo events.
Luna, who will turn 22 two days before the fight, reportedly performed lassoing tricks at a function for Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca. He recently earned his Associate of Arts degree from Rio Hondo Community College.
No word yet on who Luna will fight on October 19th.
A concert featuring local and regional bandas will take place at the venue after the fight.
The Sports Arena in Pico Rivera is an outdoor venue where rodeo events and concerts take place.
The last boxing event to take place there was in June of 2011.
