Alejandro Lopez (22-2, 7 KOs) pulled off a big upset with his comprehensive 12 round victory over Teon Kennedy last month on Top Rank Live.

The 24-year-old from Tijuana, Mexico defeated the previously undefeated Kennedy fairly easy, winning by scores of 117-111 twice and 115-113, in Atlantic City no less where the Philadelphian is the hometown fighter. Now, the Top Rank 122-pounder stands to get bigger bouts.

“His hand was a little sore. So he’ll fight in Mexico in November,” said Top Rank VP Carl Moretti. “Then he’ll come back in the States first part of next year, maybe on Top Rank Live.”
