Zanfer Promotions is getting things underway very early in the new year. On Saturday, January 14, one of the most promising boxers in Tijuana, Alejandro "Alex" Lopez (22-2, 7 KOs) will take part in a ten round junior featherweight bout against Colombian Jose Palma (15-4-2, 10 KOs). Lopez ended 2011 in fashion, with a twelve round unanimous decision over the previously undefeated Teon Kennedy. In the co-feature, Alvaro Aguilar (20-2-1, 16 KOs) will have a tough ten round welterweight clash against Daniel "Galen" Sandoval (22-2, 22 KOs), who returns from a spectacular tenth round knockout of Jorge "Pantera" Silva from last October.
