Matias landed a left hook the body as Puello largely kept his attack upstairs. Puello's most successful moments came when he fired his straight left hand over Matias' guard. Matias continued to come forward, and threw his right hand to the body when in search of an opening. Puello wisely clinched inside the final 30 seconds and then came back with a body shot. Matias shook it off and remained in Puello's chest but was forced to fend off a left hand before the bell.
