Unbeaten puncher Alberto Mosquera (15-0, 12KOs) of Panama is demanding a shot at the winner of next Saturday's WBA junior welterweight title bout between champion Amir Khan and challenger Marcos Maidana. This past Tuesday in Panama, he destroyed Jorge Pimentel in two rounds. Mosquera won the WBA's Fedelatin title in August. He is ranked at #3 in the WBA's top ten. His team will make a move to request a mandatory eliminator to get positioned for a shot at the winner.
"I want to fight for the title against the winner between [Khan and Maidana]. That is the goal that I've outlined for myself in 2011," Mosquera said.
