According to former three division world champion Adrien 'The Problem' Broner (30-2, 22KOs), the date of October 3rd has been set down for his next scheduled ring return.
The last time Broner was in action, he was on the losing end of a twelve round unanimous decision to former welterweight champion Shawn Porter on June 20th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. That fight took place at a catch-weight of 144-pounds.
Broner's return is likely taking place at 140-pounds. The network, opponent and venue is unknown.
At one time Broner was viewed as a rising pound-for-pound star, but his career has yet to fully recover after suffering a bruising twelve round decision loss to Marcos Maidana in December of 2014. He dropped down to 140 and won his next three fights before losing the June fight to Porter.
"My next fight will be on October 3rd and I'll be ready," Broner said.
On the same night as Broner's return, Lucas Matthysse and Victor Postol will battle for the vacant WBC junior welterweight title on HBO.
