Former three division world champion Adrien Broner (29-1, 22KOs) is not ruling out a potential fight with close friend Danny Garcia (29-0, 17KOs). Broner has captured world titles at 130, 135 and 147. He skipped over from lightweight to welterweight, and dropped down to 140 after losing to Marcos Maidana in December of 2013.
Garcia holds the WBC/WBA world titles at the weight. Both fighters will be showcased on NBC in the coming months as part of Al Haymon's 'Premier Boxing Champions' series. Garcia faces Lamont Peterson in a 143-pound catch-weight fight on April 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Broner takes on John Molina on March 7th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
"I know me and Danny Garcia will one day clash heads when the time is right. No matter what he will always be my bro, this is just business and we both understand that, but I am a fighter and to be the best you have to fight the best," Broner told his social network followers.
