Exciting young prospect Adrián “Tyson” Luna (15-2-1, 10KOs) blew out Ulises “Cerillo” Jiménez's candles with a icing TKO in two brief stanzas, to retain his national middleweight title.
It all happened in Deportivo La Perla in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, and was just the promotional debut Ana María “Guerrera” Torres was hoping for!
“Cerillo” tried to prove he was no flash in the pan, connecting solidly to Luna's body and head. Only to encounter stoicism... and then some hefty counter punching.
“Tyson” upped the pressure in round two, so much so that Jiménez tried to find refuge on the ropes. But he was being battered at a ferocious tempo and the referee wisely intervened to save him.
