Adrián “Confessor” Hernández (28-2-1, 17KOs) vows he'll draw on ample experience to retain his WBC light flyweight title against Janiel Rivera (10-1-2, 6KOs) of Puerto Rico on February 8th at the Estadio de Mexico in Huixquilucan, Mexico. Rivera is promoted by former three division world champion Miguel Cotto, owner of Miguel Cotto Promotions.
“I’m aware of the danger Rivera represents. He’s a young fighter with great skills. He is even part of Miguel Cotto’s team, but I’m the champion and I’m up for this challenge. I'm looking to receive great support from my fans on February 8th,” Hernandez said.
“I learned a lot after my defeat with Pongsaklek. I became a much more experienced and mature boxer. I learned to make even more sacrifices to achieve greater things; I have to keep on working hard for myself and my family and all the people who believe in me. I want this year to be great."
