Andrzej Fonfara has notified the IBF that he won't take part in a final eliminator against Dmitry Sukhotsky, because a deal had been reached to face WBC light heavyweight Adonis Stevenson (23-1, 20KOs), according to a report by Canadian outlet RDS.

In 27 professional fights, Fonfara has maintained a record of 25 wins, 15 by knockout, and only two defeats. RDS states that an official announcement could take place in the coming days.

Stevenson vs. Fonfara had been rumored since last month, with a tentative date of April 12th in Montreal being whispered among the Canadian press. Fonfara was in action this past August, when he knocked out former champion Gabriel Campillo.

The IBF will now order Cedric Agnew (No. 3) face Sukhotsky (No. 2).
