At the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, IBF cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (38-1, 26KOs) battered Bobby Gunn (18-4) to pick up a fourth round TKO win. Adamek closed the show by hurting Gunn with a big right in the fourth and then unloading several punches until the bell. The ref stopped the fight prior to the fifth.
Adamek used his left jab to set up his power punches. He was able to stun Gunn several times in the first three rounds with hard shots.
In the co-feature, Curtis Stevens (21-2, 15KOs) stunned previously undefeated Piotr Wiloczewskl (22-1, 7KOs). Stevens dropped him twice before a third round stoppage. After Stevens put Wilczewski down in the third, he battered him with punches to force the stoppage.
