At the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, as part of the Shaw Festival, two-time Olympian Adam Trupish (9-0-0) managed to strip Brazilian Rogerio Pereira (16-2-0) of his NABA super welterweight crown by scoring a KO 0:45 of the second round.

On the same card, in the super lightweight division, the prospect of Windsor, Ontario, Andres Gorges (11-1-0), recorded another victory by winning a split decision over former world champion DeMarcus Corley (37-17-1). In his previous fight, Gorges had bested Lanardo Tyner.

Finally, incredible but true, Taffo Asongwed (0-6-6) added a third consecutive draw to his record, which contains twelve duels. The heavyweight Montrealer faced the local Chukwunoso Okafor (1-0-1).
