Manager Wilfried Sauerland announced over the weekend that "King" Arthur Abraham would be making his American debut on June 21. While no opponent has been named, inside sources indicate that an over-the-weight rematch with Edison Miranda is currently in talks. The fight would take place at an agreed upon weight between middleweight and super middleweight, where Miranda currently resides.

Miranda became available after a proposed May bout with Mikkel Kessler fell apart after Kessler withdrew from the fight to compaign for a possible shot at the vacant WBA light heavyweight title. The Miranda-Kessler bout was scheduled to be televised by Showtime, who are very interested in showcasing the Abraham-Miranda rematch.

Abraham fought with Miranda back in 2006, winning a unanimous decision in Germany. Miranda claims to have been robbed of a win due to biased officials. He was penalized five points during the contest. Abraham suffered a badly broken jaw and blood oozed out of his mouth for several rounds of the fight.
