There is a small chance that we could see a super middleweight fight with undefeated Arthur Abraham facing the winner of Lucian Bute vs. Librado Andrade. According to an overseas interview with Heiko Mallwitz, the media director for Sauerland Event [who handle Abraham], several things would have to happen for that particular situation to come off.

Abraham would first have to win his first round bout of Showtime's super middleweight round-robin tournament, by beating Jermain Taylor on October 17. In the second round of the tournament, Abraham is scheduled to face Andre Dirrell in January. Dirrell is scheduled to fight WBC champion Carl Froch, also on October 17. The Froch-Dirrell bout is expected to be a very physical encounter.

If Dirrell receives an injury and has to postpone his meeting with Abraham until at least March, Mallwitz says that Sauerland will try to match Abraham with the Bute/Anrade winner in early January and then fight Dirrell. Bute defends his IBF title against Andrade on November 28 on HBO.
