Unbeaten featherweight Abraham Lopez will fight Alfred Tetteh this Friday night, Golden Boy Promotions Vice President and matchmaker Eric Gomez told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday.
The 10 round bout will be the co-feature of the Golden Boy Promotions card that will take place at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in Indio, Calif.
The bout will precede the 10 round main event between featherweights Eric Hunter and Antonio Escalante. Both bouts will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Deportes.
Lopez (17-0-1, 12 KOs) returned from a three-year long hiatus from the ring on March 20, fighting to an eight round majority decision draw against Juan Carlos Martinez. Lopez was completing his education in becoming a respiratory specialist.
Originally from Ghana, Tetteh (23-3-1, 20 KOs) will be fighting for the first time in the United States. He has won his last seven bouts in a row by knockout, all against less than average opposition.
The 36 year old Tetteh has fought off and on since beginning his pro career in 2000.
Also on the card, heavyweight Taishan Dong (4-0, 2 KOs) will fight Lance Gauch (5-8-2, 3 KOs) in a four round bout.
