World class trainer Abel Sanchez's deep stable of fighters includes the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Murat Gassiev, Andy Ruiz and new arrival Alex Saucedo.
His stable also includes unbeaten welterweight prospect Konstantin Ponamarev (30-0). The 24-year-old Russian was last in action in April when he out pointed the previously unbeaten Brad Solomon (26-1) on the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley 3 undercard.
Sanchez said that it looks like his pupil will return to the ring on another high profile undercard next month.
"I have Ponamarev hopefully fighting on the 26th, hopefully on the (Vasyl) Lomachenko (versus Nicolas Walters) card. They are trying to work something out so he can. He's in camp. He looks great. He's sparring with (Alex) Saucedo," Sanchez remarked.
Even with Golovkin's return to the ring being pushed back to early 2017, Sanchez will have a very busy final two months of 2016.
A trip to New Zealand in December for a fight between Ruiz and Joseph Parker for the vacant WBO heavyweight title could be announced soon.
"I've got Denis Shafikov who will be fighting in December for the #1 spot. I believe they are going to purse bid with that. I don't know who the guy is for sure but I believe it is (Richard) Commey.
"Carson Jones is back in camp and looking really, really good. (Top Rank matchmakers) Bruce (Trampler) and Brad (Goodman) were here and were really surprised how good he looks. Hopefully he will get a fight before the year is over.
"We have our hands full with the guys we have in camp. When Gennady comes back hopefully we are talking about a fight not too far into next year," Sanchez told BoxingScene.com.
