"Goran is a strong opponent with a good record and a hard punch," says Khattab on the 37-year-old Serbian.
The name ‘Rocky’ may make you think of Sylvester Stallone's fictional movie hero, but 'Rocky' Milenkovic is the real deal and represents Khattab’s toughest assignment to date.
"It will be a good challenge for me, for sure, but I’m ready. I've seen Goran box, and he’s not the type to do a lot in the ring. I'll make sure to press him with my left and otherwise stay patient. I am confident I can win the fight.’’
21-year-old Khattab has remained in great shape throughout the summer in the company of Team Sauerland stable mates Mikkel Kessler and Torben Keller.
"I have done nothing but train since my last fight, so I'm really looking forward to getting in the ring again. I'm eager to get back into action!"
The Danish middleweight was last in action in April, where he scored a fourth-round technical knockout against Chris Jenkinson in Esbjerg.
Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’Abdul has impressed in his last two fights at the Nordic Fight Night but now the time has come for him to step up a level. Milenkovic is definitely a step up. He has a positive record and will be coming to Copenhagen to win. Fans can look forward to another exciting fight on September 13 at TAP1.’’
The Nordic Fight Night will be shown live on TV3 Sport 2 and TV3 +. Tickets are available via billetnet.dk.
