Multi-platinum recording artist 50 Cent was on hand for Floyd Mayweather's recent media day in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mayweather face Miguel Cotto on May 5th for his WBA junior middleweight title.
50 Cent spoke to BoxingScene.com and the rest of the media on a number of topics including which boxer is his favorite to watch besides Mayweather. To the surprise of some, and not to others, he said former featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa is his second favorite fighter to watch in the ring.
For the last few weeks, Gamboa has been spending a lot of time with Mayweather and members of his "Money Team."
"Gamboa [is my second favorite next to Mayweather]. He's tough as nails," 50 Cent stated. "He is so sharp and he's just like its a regular day. He is so calm in there. He reminds me of Derrick Rose. You know how Derrick Rose scores a basket on you and you have that look on your face like you don't know how he did it," 50 Cent continued as he compared Gamboa to the Chicago Bulls star point guard.
The New York born and bred rapper will be walking Mayweather into the ring during his ring entrance on May 5th. He also advised us that his album will be dropping in July.
