On September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Floyd “Money” Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO’s) will defend his World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association welterweight titles against Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KO’s), who previously held the WBC/IBF titles at the weight.

Because of the WBC's sanction, both fighters had to take part in the required 30-day weighin, which the organization requires to ensure their health via sensible and gradual weight loss.

The fight will be carried by Showtime Pay-Per-View and Mayweather says the upcoming contest will be the "final fight" of his 19 year career that saw him capture world titles in five weight divisions. Mayweather is still the holder of the WBA/WBA junior middleweight titles as well.
