(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Following four full days of elite Olympic-style boxing action, the number of 2010 USA Boxing National Championships competitors has dwindled to only 40 boxers. Semifinal action was contested on Thursday at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the day’s competition determined the event finalists who will vie for a national championship on Saturday.

The consolation bouts will take place on Friday at 4 p.m. at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Final round competition will be contested on Saturday with the women’s seven non-Olympic weight classes taking place at 4:00 p.m. and the men’s and women’s Olympic weight classes beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Ballroom.

The tournament finalists will all take part in a press conference on Friday, July 16 at 2:30 p.m. at the Visitors Center on the U.S. Olympic Training Center complex.
