Cleveland, Ohio - The top athletes from the United States, Italy and Ireland converged on the Rock N’ Roll capital of the world, Cleveland, Ohio in what was the 2005 International Olympic Triad at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland, State University. This is the third straight year that Cleveland has played host to this event. These three nations faced off for amateur boxing supremacy. Eight exciting bouts took place and the future of boxing looks as bright as it has been in years. Ronnie "Slam" Duncan served as the MC and Ring Announcer and once again he outdid himself. His poise, style, charisma makes him one of the top ring announcers in the world.
In attendance tonight were former WBA Champions "Terrible" Tim Witherspoon, Harry Arroyo and Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini. Also in attendance were "The Cincinnati Kid" Tim Austin, former Heavyweight Champion of the World Oliver "The Atomic Bull" McCall, current IBA Heavyweight Champion of the World James "Lights Out" Toney, and current women’s Cruiserweight and Heavyweight Champion of the World Vonda "The All American Girl" Ward.
