WBC franchise, WBO, WBA lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko, and IBF champion Teofimo Lopez, are on weight, pursuant to the requirements by the World Boxing Council, for their upcoming unification clash.

The fight is scheduled to take place on October 17, at the MGM Grand's Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout will be broadcast by ESPN.

Lomachenko registered in his 14 day pre-weigh-in at 141.4 pounds, while Lopez came in at 142.4, showing that their forms for this important challenge.

Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) comes into this fight after hard-fought decision win over British star and Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell in August of last year. That win gave Lomachenko the vacant WBC title.

Not long after that fight, the WBC made Lomachenko the "franchise champion" and Devin Haney, who had the interim-belt, was made the full champion.

Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) has quickly emerged as a heavy handed charismatic young star, after his professional debut in 2016. He returns from the biggest win of his pro career, when he easily blasted out Richard Commey to capture the IBF title back in December of last year.

Lomachenko had little interest in facing Lopez in the past, but promised to collide with him in the ring - if the young star captured a world title.
