WBO super middleweight champ Arthur Abraham (43-4) has extended his contract with Sauerland Event until the end of 2017. And not only that, Abraham and Sauerland state they again are going after the big stars at 168.

Abraham lost in three out of four fights in the Super Six tournament and was outclassed by the likes of Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell and Carl Froch, and has since then steered clear of the big names.

After the Froch fight, Abraham announced he was going to moved down to middleweight again but those plans were quickly dropped. The older, and wiser Abraham is probably not as strong as he once was and his barrages of punches are not so wild and not so long anymore - but he´s a smarter fighter, picks his shots well, and pace himself better and the way he took apart Robert Stieglitz in their fourth and last fight was quite impressive.
