World Boxing Association (WBA) cruiserweight champion, Frenchman Arsen Goulamirian, has tested positive for Covid-19 and his scheduled defense this Friday against Aleksei Egorov was cancelled.
The 200-pound challenger was supposed to reappear this Friday after almost two years of inactivity but his last test before the mandatory fight against the Russian puncher gave off a result that will not allow him to return to the ring just yet.
Goulamirian-Egorov was a big fight between undefeated and power fighters that generated great expectations among the fans.
