Junior welterweight Antonio Orozco is entering the prime of his career.

As he continues to ascend towards a big money fight or an opportunity at a world title, Orozco has every reason to pick and choose his opponents. One slip and it is back to the drawing board for the San Diego area fighter.

That is not who Orozco is though.

After scoring the best win of his young career, Orozco knows that staying busy and fighting the best possible fighters out there is what will get him closer towards that goal.

Orozco will fight former world titleholder Miguel Acosta tonight t the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. The 10 round bout will top an Estrella TV broadcast, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.

RingTVLive.com will commence broadcasting the Golden Boy Promotions card at 5:30 p.m. PT.

Orozco won a 10 round unanimous decision over Humberto Soto in his last bout on October 3. It was a bout Orozco could have easily turned down, but the 28-year-old proved he can outbox one of the top fighters in the division.

Orozco (23-0, 15 KOs) has also proved he can box and not only rely his power. Orozco has won his last four bouts by decision.

While he only fought twice in 2015, Orozco is eager to fight often in 2016.

"Since my fight with Humberto Soto, I have been excited to get into the ring and show the fans a great night of boxing," said Orozco in a recent release.

Orozco faces Acosta, who has lost his last four bouts in a row and five of his last six bouts. Acosta (29-8-2, 23 KOs) is still considered a dangerous fighter with his awkward style.

"We know that Acosta is a former champion and is going to come prepared," said Orozco, who is managed by Frank Espinoza. "At this point in my career, every opponent has to be taken seriously and we know he will be dangerous. Our job is to make sure we are more prepared and more dangerous."

Orozco may be dangerous, but he has lived up to his nickname of 'Relentless' thus far. There are greater challenges that await Orozco down the line should he come out victorious against Acosta.

Orozco is ranked amongst the top 10 in three of boxing's major governing bodies.

"I know this is my opportunity to show I am ready for the world title shot in 2016. I have been training to make sure I am victorious."

"I am ready to give all the fans a great fight on March 25."
