WBC bantamweight champion and three-weight king Junto Nakatani will defend his strap against Filipino contender Vincent Astrolabio on Saturday, July 20, at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

All Star Boxing Promotions announced Wednesday that it had reached a new multi-year promotional agreement with flyweight contender Anthony Olascuaga.

Anthony Olascuaga found a dramatic way to avoid a second straight defeat. A terrific but grueling in-ring battle with Giemel Magramo ended in an instant as Olascauga scored a come-from-behind, seventh-round stoppage victory. A right hand in the midst of a flurry froze Magramo, as a subsequent right and and left hook was enough for referee Katsuhiko Nakamura to stop the fight at 2:57 of round seven Monday at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Kenshiro Teraji was once again well under the junior flyweight limit for his latest title defense. The reigning lineal and unified WBC/WBA champion clocked in at a cut-up 107.1 pounds (officially announced at 48.6 kilograms) in the presence of the Japanese Boxing Commission during Sunday’s weigh-in ceremony. Japan’s unified WBC/WBA light flyweight world champion Kenshiro Teraji will defend his titles against South African two-division world champion Hekkie Budler on Monday, September 18, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The Kenshiro Teraji-Hekkie Budler unified junior flyweight title fight now has a date. Teraji will defend his WBC and WBA world title belts against Budler on September 18, it was officially announced Wednesday. The 12-round bout will take place at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan and will stream live on Prime Video. Also on the card will be Junto Nakatani making a voluntary defense of the WBO world junior bantamweight title against Argi Cortes.

Kenshiro Teraji once again lived up to his ‘Amazing Boy’ ring moniker. The reigning lineal, WBA and WBC junior flyweight champion turned away a stiff challenge from late-notice challenger Anthony Olascuaga to earn a ninth-round knockout victory. Teraji scored two knockdowns on the night, the latter which produced an immediate stoppage at 1:58 of round nine in their ESPN+/Amazon Prime-Japan main event Saturday from Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
