November 4th will feature one of the best match ups of the 2016 Solo Boxeo season.

Unbeaten super featherweights Casey Ramos (23-0) and Andy Vences will battle over 10 rounds at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. The fight will be a step up in competition for both fighters.

"Once it was finalized I was really excited.  I have wanted this fight for a while.  They say to be careful what you ask for but I am definitely more than ready to fight Casey Ramos," Vences explained.

"I know he is 23-0 and he has experience but to be honest I know that I can beat him and it is just a matter of how I beat him.  Either way, whatever happens, I know that I am going to beat Casey Ramos. I know that speed is going to be a factor and precision and accuracy as well.  He throws a lot of punches so precision and accuracy is going to stop all of that."

The 25-year-old San Jose, Calif. resident knows that he will have a lot of doors open with a victory over Ramos in a high profile fight on the eve of the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas pay-per-view fight that takes place down the street at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Fighters such as WBO champion Vasyl Lomachenko, former champion Nicolas Walters, WBA champion Jason Sosa, and several other super featherweights fight under the same Top Rank banner as Vences but he refuses to look past Ramos.

"I will be 17-0 after that night but just to be honest I can't really elaborate on the future. I am just zoned out and focused on this fight. I am just doing everything in my power to win this fight. I am just doing everything I can so that when I look at myself in the mirror that morning I know I did everything possible to win and execute the fight," Ramos explained.

As for the Pacquiao-Vargas fight, Vences said that he has to go with the underdog.  Vences is friends with Vargas feels that he has enough weapons in his arsenal to pull off the upset.

"That is a good fight. I always get that question and I think that people are taking Jessie Vargas a little too lightly.  We have to know that Pacquiao is not the same fighter as when he first started.  Although he has speed and he has power we have seen Jessie land and hurt a lot of elite fighters with that overhand right. One of the fighters he landed it on was Timothy Bradley and Timothy Bradley is a pretty fast fighter. It is just going to be a chess match and if Jessie gets his timing on Pacquiao he might hurt him. He has done it to Sadam Ali and a lot of great fighters so we just have to see but I am rooting for my boy Jessie Vargas,"  Vences told BoxingScene.com.
