British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) left with a very positive vibe after meeting face to face with Manny Pacquiao and the Filipino boxer's adviser, Michael Koncz, on January 23rd. The meeting took place during Pacquiao's visit of the UK.

Both Pacquiao and Khan are trying to get Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) in the ring. They indeed discussed the possibility of face each other - if neither of them was able to secure a fight with Mayweather on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao and Khan were once stablemates and often sparred each other when they were both being trained by Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym. Khan switched trainers to Virgil Hunter in 2012.

Khan says he was first approached about facing Pacquiao in the lead-up to last December's fight with Devon Alexander.

"[Koncz] invited me to see them when I was in London, maybe for a cup of tea. Michael was saying that if the Mayweather fight didn't work out that 'Manny would like to fight you. It would sell.' We're both chasing Mayweather, but if it doesn't happen why not fight each other? We had a good meeting and Manny and Michael said they would definitely consider the fight. They had actually contacted me before the Alexander fight asking me if I might be interested. I said, 'Yeah, but I have my hands full with Alexander so let's talk after,'" Khan told ESPN UK.
