According to BBC Sport, British Olympic boxer Muhammad Ali has been banned for two years after testing positive for a banned steroid. The 21-year-old tested positive for anabolic steroid Trenbolone during the World Series of Boxing in Morocco in April of last year.

The IOC says it is "extremely worried" about the governance of Olympic boxing body AIBA, whose new interim president has been linked to organized crime by United States federal authorities. The International Olympic Committee's executive board will "decide on further measures" at a meeting next weekend in South Korea which was already due to discuss AIBA's issues, including an ongoing funding freeze.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Wednesday said it would not make any payments to the international boxing federation AIBA until problems over governance and finances are sorted out. AIBA has been riven with in-fighting for months, with former president CK Wu first provisionally suspended and then stepping down in November after a bitter dispute with his executive committee.
International Boxing Association (AIBA) and Mr Ching-Kuo Wu announced today that they have amicably agreed to resolve the management issues within AIBA and to withdraw and terminate all related pending procedures before civil courts and AIBA Disciplinary Commission.

The Year of Africa has completed the latest stop on its journey around the great continent, hosting five courses over three weeks with the participation of ten Arabic-speaking countries.
