Alycia Baumgardner had a simple message for her lone conqueror after she easily made weight.

"And still," Baumgardner repeated after the scale read 129.4 pounds for her long overdue hometown headliner this Saturday on DAZN from Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan. She makes the first defense of her undisputed junior lightweight championship crown versus Christina Linardatou, who was 129.8 pounds for their upcoming rematch.

Linardatou is responsible for the lone defeat on Baumgardner's record, when she claimed an eight-round split decision in their July 2018 meeting.

Baumgardner (14-1, 7KOs) has won eight straight since her lone defeat to Linardatou five years ago, nearly to the day. The 29-year-old local hero will attempt her fourth overall title defense and first as undisputed champion.

The full undisputed run has come all in her past four fights. Baumgardner scored a one-punch, fourth-round knockout of unbeaten WBC 130-pound titlist Terri Harper in Nov. 2021. Eleven months and two fights later, she dethroned undefeated IBF/WBO champ Mikaela Mayer last October 15 in London. The last chip was collected on February 4, when Baumgardner dropped and outpointed Elhem Mekhaled to win the WBA title in New York City.

Linardatou (14-2, 6KOs) twice won the WBO junior welterweight title following her win over Baumgardner, though part of just four fights that has come since their first meeting. Her first reign ended in a Nov. 2019 loss to Katie Taylor (22-1, 6KOs); the second reign ended in 2021 when she was pregnant and unable to compete.

The evening's chief support will feature the pro debut of highly celebrated former amateur standout Andy Cruz, who faces Tijuana's Juan Carlos Burgos (35-7-3, 21KOs). Both boxers made weight for their scheduled ten-round lightweight contest.

Cruza three-time World Amateur champion and 2020 Olympic Gold medalist was 134.6 pounds for his first official pro bout. Burgosa former two-time title challenger checked in at 134.2 pounds
