Former two-time amateur world champion and two-time Olympic flyweight medalist Misha Aloyan (1-0) is on a fast track to his professional glory. According to Umar Kremlev’s “Patriot” promotional company, Aloyan, 28, will fight next on July 22 at the Red Square in Moscow, Russia.
Aloyan’s opponent is Marvin Solano of Nicaragua (19-1, 7 KOs).
The WBC Silver super flyweight title is up for grabs, and the bout is scheduled for twelve. In his first fight, Aloyan shut out another Nicaraguan Yader Cardoza over ten.
Aloyan had wins over former and reigning world champions Rau’Shee Warren, Khalid Yafai and Amnat Ruenroeng in his amateur days. He also faced and beat such notables as Jeivier Cintron, Andrew Selby and Nordine Ouabali.
Aloyan vs. Solano is expected to crown a huge boxing show, which will feature no less than six title fights.

Vasily Jirov, now 43, is a 1996 Atlanta Olympics gold medalist and Val Barker trophy winner, and defeating named fighters such as Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Pietro Aurino, Troy Ross and most notable Antonio Tarver en route to his biggest career win.
Jirov turned pro in early 1997 and racked up a record of 20-0, 18 KOs, before capturing IBF cruiserweight title in June 1999 by knocking out 30-4-1 Arthur Williams. Jirov made six defenses of his title (five by way of stoppage) and won four non-title fights before running into rejuvenated version of James Toney in one of the best fights of 2003.
After his loss to Toney Jirov headed to the heavyweight division but was unsuccessful. He lost to Joe Mesi in a fight, which ultimately ended Mesi’s career on the big stage, before being stopped by former heavyweight champion Michael Moorer. Jirov was last seen in the ring in October 2009, stopping unheralded Jonathan Williams (7-6-1) in two rounds. His overall record is 38-3-1, 32 KOs.
