All Fighters On Weight For Sold-Out Broadway Boxing Bill

By Jake Donovan

All fighters made weight for DiBella Entertainment's Broadway Boxing card Wednesday evening at B.B. Kings Blues Club and Grill in New York City.

Headlining the sold out show, unbeaten prospect Bryant Cruz faces Martin Cardona in a scheduled 10-round bout. Cruz (14-0, 7KOs) tipped the scales at 131 lbs., while Cardona (19-5, 14KOs) weighed in at 129.4 lbs.

The first Broadway Boxing card to take place outside of New York City occurred this past February, with Cruz—who hails from Port Chester, New York—topping the bill in Rye Brook, mere minutes from his hometown. Cruz claimed an eight-round decision on the night, his most recent bout heading into Wednesday’s show.

Also on Wednesday’s show:
  • Brooklyn’s Shawn Cameron (9-0, 4KOs) takes on Francisco Reza (14-13, 11KOs) of Mexico in a scheduled eight-round junior middleweight bout
  • Long Island-bred junior middleweight Patrick Day (10-1-1, 6KOs) faces Maryland’s Lenwood Dozier (9-7-11, 4KOs), also scheduled for eight rounds
  • Rising Kazakhstan prospect Sergey Lipintes (6-0, 5KOs)—who is based out of Russia—continues to face an accelerated level of competition as he squares off against Dominican Republic’s Kendall Luna (20-1, 11KOs) in a 6-round junior welterweight bout.
