Top Russian amateur Alexander Besputin, 24-years-old, has arrived in Los Angeles to prepare for his planned debut in the professional ranks. The talented welterweight was the 2012 champion in Russia and the European champion in 2013.

In early October, Alexander signed a promotional contract with Top Rank. And his career is being guided by well-known manager Egis Klimas, who is working with such boxers as Sergei Kovalev, Evgeny Gradovich, Vasyl Lomachenko, Vyacheslav Glazkov, Alexander Gvozdyk, Dmitry Mikhailenko and several others.

According Klimas, he is very happy to start working with a promising fighter such as Besputin.

"Alexander arrived in the United States, and I of course am very pleased that we can proceed with the organization of his first fight in professional boxing. I think that his first entry in a professional ring will be held later this year," Klimas said.

The manager also said that Alexander will live and train in the United States.

"I am very happy that I'm working with such a good team," Besputin said. "I am honored to be friends and working with Egis. I'm sure that I will not fail and in turn I will justify hopes of Top Rank and the fans."
