Former 140-pound champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis would relish the opportunity to fight one of the biggest names in boxing, albeit the faded version.

Conor Benn wiped out Samuel Vargas inside the opening round to retain his WBA Continental Welterweight Title at the Copper Box Arena in London, live on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN in the U.S.

Regis Prograis isn’t quite certain Adrien Broner deserved to lose to Jovanie Santiago. The former WBA super lightweight champion is absolutely sure, though, that Broner has lost whatever was left of the championship-caliber boxing ability he once possessed. Prograis wasn’t the least bit impressed by Broner’s performance in a debatable decision victory over Santiago on February 20.

Michel Rivera doesn’t plan to make a habit of fighting well above his optimal weight. The 22-year old lightweight prospect accepted a short-notice opportunity at welterweight, looking impressive in an 8th round stoppage of Anthony Mercado. Their fight aired live last month on FS1, taking place at a 146-pound catchweight and with Rivera checking in at a career-heavy 144 ½ pounds for the occasion.

After a two year ring absence, Adrien "The Problem" Broner (34-4-1) returned to the ring on February 20th at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. Broner won a unanimous decision over the unheralded Jovanie Santiago (14-1-1) of Puerto Rico in a Showtime televised main event. The final scores were 116-111, 117-110 and 115-112 - but many observers thought the fight was closer and could have even been a draw or a close decision victory for Santiago.

Former Adrien Broner conqueror Shawn Porter believes that his onetime adversary’s career is not broken beyond repair. Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs, 1 NC) came off a two-year hiatus to score an underwhelming unanimous decision win over Javanie Santiago (14-1-1, 10 KOs) in a fight that some argued could’ve been edged the other way.

Adrien Broner brought more viewers to Showtime than other boxers once again Saturday night. Nielsen Media Research statistics released Tuesday indicated Showtime’s tripleheader that featured Broner and Jovanie Santiago produced higher viewership than any of the premium cable network’s first seven telecasts on Saturday nights since it brought boxing back to its airwaves August 1. Showtime didn’t televise live boxing for the 4½ months prior to August 1 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut – Adrien Broner made a passionate plea to Stephen Espinoza as soon as he finished his post-fight interview with Showtime’s Brian Custer early Sunday morning. More than anything, Broner wants to get back in the ring as soon as possible. Espinoza, Showtime’s president of sports and event programming, and adviser Al Haymon are the two men Broner knows can make that happen.

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut – Adrien Broner expects to fight a more known opponent than Jovanie Santiago next. Regis Prograis is the potential opponent that has been mentioned most, but Broner doesn’t think he’ll face the former WBA super lightweight champion when he returns to the ring later this year.

Regis Prograis insists Adrien Broner is “shot” and believes he would inflict a damaging display on his rival, should they meet. Broner claimed a close, unanimous decision win over Jovanie Santiago in his first fight in two years at Mohegan Sun on Saturday.
