According to reports in Mexico, there are ongoing negotiations to have Carlos Molina (17-1-1, 7KOs) face former three division champion Adrien Broner on (27-1, 22KOs) on May 3rd, as part of the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Molina has been inactive since suffering his first career defeat, when he was stopped by Amir Khan in ten rounds in December 2012.

Broner is also returning from his first career defeat, when last December he was dropped twice before losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Maidana. Last year Broner moved up from 135 to 147-pounds. He will drop down to 140 for his next fight.
