Edgar Berlanga and Jason Quigley enjoyed one more intense staredown before they meet in the ring this weekend. Both boxers were under the 168-pound super middleweight for their scheduled 12-round main event this Saturday at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City. Brooklyn’s Berlanga officially weighed 167.8 pounds during Friday’s official pre-fight weigh-in under the supervision of the New York State Athletic Commission. Ireland’s Quigley was 167.6 pounds for their regional title fight which will top a DAZN show (Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET).

Nielsen Media Research released viewership figures Tuesday that indicated Garcia’s 12-round, majority-decision victory over Jose Benavidez Jr. was watched by an average audience of 450,000 on Showtime. Garcia-Benavidez drew a peak audience of 478,000.

The tough Turkish heavyweight contender withstood Kownacki’s strong start, gained control of their action-packed bout in the middle rounds and won their 10-rounder by unanimous decision on the Danny Garcia-Jose Benavidez Jr. undercard at Barclays Center. All three judges – Mark Consentino (96-94), Martha Tremblay (97-93) and Steve Weisfeld (97-93) – scored their fight for Demirezen in Kownacki’s home borough of Brooklyn.
