According to reports coming out of Mexico, Marco Nazareth (4-4, 3KOs), 23-years-old, passed away early this morning as a result of injuries that he suffered during the stoppage loss to welterweight prospect Omar Chavez last Saturday in Mexico. It was the second time Nazareth and Chavez fought.

After the stoppage loss, Nazareth was said to be feeling dizzy and eventually passed out. He was taken out on a stretcher and brought to the hospital where doctors operated on his brain to decrease some of the swelling. After the operation, it was revealed by doctors that only 10% of Nazareth's brain was functioning and messages were no longer being sent by the brain to other parts of his body. Chavez and other members of his legendary family went to the hospital to support Nazareth and his family.
