Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez has revealed that he received an offer to face Khalid "Kal" Yafai in 2019 for the super flyweight championship of the World Boxing Association.

Gonzalez will review that offer, and mull that direction, if he defeats Mexico's Pedro Guevara on the 8th of December in California.

The Nicaraguan superstar, who captured world titles at 105, 108, 112 and 115 - is angling for another world title.

Gonzalez is planning to remain at super flyweight throughout 2019, but he may move up to bantamweight in 2020 to chase a fifth divisional belt.

Gonzalez is rebuilding his career after suffering back to back defeats to current WBC super flyweight world champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.

"We feel very good in all aspects, and thank God the fight is coming... three weeks are left and nothing is left but working to get better. Guevara is a good fighter, he moves well, he has experience and we will see what happens on the day of the fight. I did not rest much after the fight with Moisés Fuentes, we are sparring and the camp is going well, a hard fight is coming but we will be ready," said Gonzalez told ESPN Deportes.

"The truth is that I'm going to go as far as God wants, we are persevering and fighting day by day, I want to conquer another championship, I have a dream, I want to do some more fights. I was offered the fight with Yafai, but prior to this upcoming fight. I know it's a good possibility [of happening], but let's see if the Yafai deal is concrete. I would also like a new opportunity with Rungvisai, we would have to prepare better than ever, with a lot of strategy, trying to take care of his left, it will be a complicated fight, but everything I did would be different... in the second fight I was too confident and I traded a lot with a man who could punch and look at what happened."
