Former world champion Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9KOs) is ready to reclaim his crown and end the run of Adrien Broner (30-2, 22KOs) at the same time.

The two boxers will collide on October 3rd for the vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight title. Khabib lost the belt last April by way of a close twelve round decision to Jessie Vargas on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley II HBO Pay-Per-View undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There were some who felt Khabib did more than enough to beat Vargas and a rematch was promised but never happened.

Broner is also returning from defeat, after once again moving up to face a top welterweight and losing a decision to Shawn Porter in June.

Khabib is very familiar with Broner and his controversial antics inside and outside of the ring. Coming from the Soviet school of boxing, he is shocked with Broner's behavior.

"As a man I don't have anything good to say about him. Maybe it's just an image that he presents, but most likely he's just the same in normal life - dirty, arrogant, ill-mannered. That disgusting act when he videotaped himself as he flushed money down the toilet flush - it's awful. It is vile and disgusting, such behavior is unacceptable. We believe that all sensible people feel the same," Khabib told Soviet Express. "And as the boxer, he is a fast, talented guy."

"I do not know English very well. During certain moments during the media events, I simply will not understand what he says. But if he acts in this manner, tries to do something, to approach me, to push me ... I know that I will be as restrained as possible."
