Lightweight contender Jose Felix Jr (27-1-1) bounced from his first career defeat in April by stopping Alejandro Rodriguez in 6 rounds on August 9th.

The 22-year-old Sinaloa, Mexico native struggled making 130 pounds and looked a lot stronger in his past fight which took place at a 137 pound catchweight. Felix's immediate plans are to campaign in the lightweight division.

Felix said that he doesn't have a date yet for his next fight but hopes to fight in December and wants to fight a big name. Former champions Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz and Rocky Martinez are at the top of his list.

"I don't have an exact date but I hope to be back in December. I don't want another tune up. I want a tough fight against someone like Torito Diaz or Rocky Martinez. I want a fight like that.

"People have forgotten about me (since I lost) and I have to do something so that people remember me and that I am part of the conversation for big fights in the division. That's why I need tough fights so people keep remember me," Felix told BoxingScene.com.
