Undefeated Mexican brawler Roberto "Massa" Ortiz (31-0-1, 24 KOs) will defend his WBC Silver super lightweight Crown against former interim champion, Argentinian Lucas Matthysse (35-3-0-1 sd, 33 KOs) on September 6th, at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Ortiz is ranked number five by the WBC. Nicknamed "Massa,"  and age 28, he became a pro in 2007.

Ortiz is the underdog, but believes is the better boxer and appears confident that he is capable of exploiting some of the weaknesses that he saw in Matthysse's recent fights.

"I respect Matthysse and I know how dangerous he can be. But this is my time to prove my capacity on September 6th . I have identified some weaknesses in his boxing and I believe I am the better fighter. This fight will take me to the top and through it, I'll also become well known worldwide," Ortiz said.
