WBO interim-junior welterweight champion Mike Alvarado (34-1, 23 KOs) has taken to the social networks to voice his concerns about the money being offered for the fight with Ruslan Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KOs), being targeted for an HBO televised date of October 19th.

BoxingScene.com reported earlier that Provodnikov had agreed to his side of the deal, including the monetary terms, and Provodnikov's promoter Artie Pelullo was waiting for Top Rank to inform him that Alvarado had agreed to his side of the package.

"We aren’t even close to a deal. My last 4 fights been fight of the year candidates. I’m very grateful to Top Rank but it’s my turn to get paid like a world champ. Why would I accept less money to fight Provodnikov, than what [Brandon] Rios got paid to fight me? Does that make any sense? Listen the fight will probably happen, but we need to get my money right first. Mr. [Bob] Arum is a great man and I’m sure he will get it done,” Alvarado wrote.
