International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior bantamweight world champion, unbeaten Argentinean Débora “La Gurisa” Dionicius, will face former three time world title challenger, Argentinean Marisa “La Nena” Portillo, trying to defend for the second time her belt, in the 10-round main event of an exciting night that will take place on Saturday, July 6th., at Club Huracán, in Villaguay, Entre Ríos, Argentina, in a presentation promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions, of Mario Margossian, televised live by TyC Sports in Argentina and lots of parts of America, starting at 11 p.m.

 

“La Gurisa” (12-0, 4 KOs), form Villaguay, Entre Ríos, former South American champ, will put in the line the title she conquered on November 24th., with a boxing lesson over Michelle Preston, from New Zealand, with a wide unanimous decision, and that she the defended with a new brilliant and unanimous decision over Uruguayan Gabriela Bouvier on April 13th., against an experienced Portillo (13-7-2, 2 KOs), ranked IBF #3, who has already disputed three belts in Mexico and Argentina, facing Mexican Ana María Torres, and Argentineans Carolina Duer and Yésica Bopp, always at their backyards, giving good presentations and never being knocked out.

 

The 25-year-old Dionicius, former Argentine Amateur Team, with which she represented her country getting medals all over the world, had her best birthday present when she turned professional on March 19th., 2011, beating Natalia López in Córdoba. After exhibiting her peculiar style in ladies which combines an elegant technique with a notorious speed and power, she defeated every rival that was put in front of her. On May 5th., 2012, she scored a unanimous decision over Uruguayan Stefany Bizquiazo, to get her South American junior bantamweight belt, at her native Villaguay, Entre Ríos. On July 6th., she won another wide unanimous decision against Brazilian Waleria Rodrigues Dos Santos, defending her title, again in Villaguay, and with which she became #2 in the IBF world ranking. On November 24th., she faced IBF #1, tough and strong New Zealand's Michelle Preston, punishing her badly during ten rounds, to finally conquer the IBF junior bantamweight world title in Villaguay. And on April 13th., she did the same thing over tough former Uruguayan world title challenger Gabriela Bouvier in Paraná, Entre Ríos. But now, who is considered by the majority of the media the most important female rising boxing star in the country will have to prove again all of what is expected from her, knowing that the challenges will get harder, to shine once more in order to defend her crown, and become the best queen in the 115 pounds.

 

In Portillo, 25 years old, she will have a complicated opponent who has fought abroad and disputed three world titles. After having defeated most countrywomen in the division, “La Nena” faced Argentinean Yésica Marcos -current super bantamweight world champion-. On October 8th., 2011, she presented battle to Mexican Ana María Torres, for the World Boxing Council (WBC) junior bantamweight belt, falling by decision in Los Cabos, Mexico. After two victories, on October 26th., 2012, she made the distance against Argentinean Carolina Duer, for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior bantamweight title. And after beating previously unbeaten countrywomen Ivonne Córdoba on December, on January 26th., she went down on weight and faced also countrywomen Yésica Bopp, ending in a technical decision over ten rounds, disputing the World Boxing Association (WBA) and WBO junior flyweight crowns. With all that experience, she is determined to go to the champion's backyards, and this time taking her belt.

 

On the undercard:

In a 10-round welterweight bout, rising Miguel “La Joya” Barrionuevo (22-2-2-1 nc, 16 KOs), from Catamarca, by Salta, will face a Diego “El Majestuoso” Alzugaray (26-20-4, 5 KOs), from Santa Fe.

 

In a 6-round junior welterweight bout, undefeated heavy puncher Daniel “Cainchi” Aquino (8-0, 7 KOs), from Paraná, Entre Ríos, will face José “El Majestuoso” Iturria (5-20-1-3 nc, 1 KO), from Córdoba.

 

In a 6-round junior middleweight bout, undefeated Marcelo “El Terrible” Cóceres (5-0-1, 2 KOs), from Villaguay, Entre Ríos, takes on Pablo Roldán (9-2-1), from Santa Fe.

 

Finally, in a 4-round welterweight bout, Cristian Larrea (1-0), from Villaguay, Entre Ríos, will face Gabriel “Quebracho” Giachello (0-2), from San Pedro, Buenos Aires.

 

The event will be televised live by TyC Sports in Argentina and lots of parts of America, starting at 11 p.m.
