WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) has no fear of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the WBC's champion at 154-pounds. Canelo says he was scheduled for the undercard of Mayweather's upcoming pay-per-view fight against Robert Guerrero on May 4th - but he withdrew from the co-feature position because Mayweather refused to sign a contract to face him in September. Canelo (41-0-1, 30KOs) will now return on April 20th as the headliner of his own event at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Mayweather takes thing one fight at a time and told an ESPN affiliate in Atlanta that he's not thinking about Canelo and the only fight he is focused on is May mandatory defense against Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs).

"I have a guy in front of me who I can't overlook. Floyd Mayweather [is] not scared of any opponent. You know, you just don't wake up one morning and become the best. All I want to do is give the fans excitement," Mayweather said.
