Highly touted Japanese welterweight prospect Yoshihiro Kamegai (21-0, 18 KOs) will make his American TV debut on Fox Sports against Mexican Cosme Rivera (35-14-3, 24 KOs) on Oct. 6 at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.

“Kamegai can really fight,” said Paco Damian, who is co-promoting the show with Don Chargin, Golden Boy, and Jorge Marron.  “The fans here in Sacramento are going to love him.”

Kamegai-Rivera will be the co-feature to Jorge Linares-Hector Velazquez.  BoxingScene.com has also been advised that middleweight up-and-comer Chris Pearson is also slated for Sacramento.

The undercard will feature Northern California prospects like junior welterweight Jonathan Chicas, featherweight Guy Robb, junior lightweight Andy Vences, and the pro debut of Preston Freeman.

Tickets have been priced at $20, $35, $45, and $60, and are currently available at the Sacramento Convention Center box office.
